Jay Sandvos

Jay Sandvos is a partner at Sunstein. Jay has exceptional experience in patent law, having prepared and filed over 100 patent applications and over 100 Office action responses.  He also has written numerous opinion letters and has significant experience in supporting patent litigation. Jay has been practicing law since 1997.

Experience

• Before law school, served in the Naval Nuclear Power Program for twelve years as a reactor operator on a fast attack submarine. 
• Technical background in electronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, nuclear physics, ionizing radiation, thermodynamics, and heat transfer & fluid flow.
• Expertise preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
• Significant role in numerous patent litigation cases in federal district and appellate courts.
