Sunstein is proud to sponsor Cleantech Open Northeast, the Northeast region of Cleantech Open (CTO), for the fourth consecutive year, and to support Cleantech Open’s mission to find, fund, and foster entrepreneurs with ideas to solve our greatest environmental and energy challenges.
“Cleantech Open is a truly incredible ecosystem that connects established thought leaders with emerging companies working on new ways to overcome complex environmental challenges. I have been lucky to be a mentor for several years, playing a role in helping participants navigate legal and business issues,” said John W. Powell, Sunstein Partner and Cleantech Open Mentor. “I encourage early stage and environmental sustainability startups to apply for CTO’s Startup Accelerator 2022 virtual program.”
Each year, CTO’s accelerator program provides 100-150 U.S. companies with months of mentoring, training, resources, visibility, cash prizes, and access to capital to boost their startups to the next level. The program culminates at the CTO Global Forum event in October 2022. The Cleantech Open Northeast cohort is managed by NECEC as the on-the-ground affiliate and covers nine states as well as Eastern Canada. Plus, there are participating startups from outside of North America.
Cleantech Open is accepting applications for its 2022 program through April 17, 2022.
“We are pleased to have Sunstein as a continuing sponsor of our annual accelerator program. The knowledge Sunstein brings to IP management is invaluable for startups navigating legal issues and business matters. We appreciate John Powell’s mentorship and the firm’s dedication to cleantech innovation. The entrepreneurs benefit greatly.” said Beth Zonis, Senior Director, Cleantech Open Northeast, NECEC.
