Sunstein LLP to partner with the 2021 Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT)
Sunstein LLP is proud to announce that it will be the first professional services provider to partner with the Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT), and is excited to be a sponsor of the DGPT for the remainder of the 2021 DGPT season. The 2021 DGPT season is comprised of twelve Elite Series events and six Silver Series events held across the county, leading to the Tour Championship in October in Charlotte, NC.
As a tour sponsor, Sunstein is excited to present “Patent Pending Moments” during live Disc Golf Network coverage, which pair Sunstein’s passion for innovation with creative and exciting shot making by the world’s best disc golfers.
Sunstein is a Boston based law firm specializing in intellectual property, and is “proud to be supporting the innovators and inventors growing the sport of disc golf. Sunstein’s experienced attorneys are passionately focused on protecting our client’s intellectual property through patent and trademark prosecution services and our well-regarded IP litigation practice. We are excited to participate in the growth of disc golf, and we look forward to the upcoming tour events in New England and beyond this year,” said Steven A. Abreu, a partner and the trademark practice group chair at Sunstein LLP.
“I was thrilled when Sunstein reached out to us! Disc Golf needs more non-endemic sponsors. And since the firm specializes in intellectual property, it seemed like a natural fit. New inventions, artwork, contracts, copyright matters, and the like arise constantly so the industry will need professional representation as it surges in growth. When Steven
had the idea to sponsor “Patent Pending Moments,” it seemed like a perfectly teed-up activation,” said DGPT Director of Partnerships, Sean Jack.
In addition to the partnership with the PDGA, Sunstein LLP will be the title sponsor of PDGA B-Tier disc golf tournaments held in Massachusetts in 2021, starting with the Sunstein Open at Sunnymede on May 29-30, 2021.
The 2021 DGPT season continues on April 16-18 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the Jonesboro Open. Fans can watch the event live on the Disc Golf Network (www.discgolfnetwork.com).
