Points Qualifiers

In addition to the automatic qualifiers, the top five points winners in each division (MPO, FPO, MA1, FA1) will qualify for the Massachusetts Grand Prix. In the event that one player wins more than one automatic qualifying event, additional points qualifiers will qualify, to make up the eight golfers qualified for each division.

The Sunstein Series will use the official points awarded by the PDGA to each golfer for their finish in each singles stroke-play tournament held within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Points will accrue from January 1 to September 30, 2021. Only a player's top five finishes in a single division will count towards their division series total, but points will not cross over for other divisions. For example, points accrued when playing in MA1 will not count towards a golfer's MPO points.

The PDGA Point values from the three Sunstein-sponsored events (Sunstein Open at Sunnymede, The Huck Squad Open 2.0, and Sunstein Open at Mountainside) will have a 2.5 MULTIPLIER applied, so finishes in the Sunstein events will counter more towards a players season total.

Points accrued in the DGPT MVP Open at Maple Hill will not be counted in this series because entry to this tournament is heavily restricted and a disproportionately high amount of points are awarded to touring professionals which may skew the purpose of the series to determine the best golfer of the entire year of Massachusetts-based events.

Last Points Update: April 1, 2021 (1 tournament: Hoot & Scoot XII)
