Sharona H. Sternberg Selected for Prestigious Women’s Bar Association “Women’s Leadership Initiative”

Sunstein LLP is thrilled to share that the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts (WBA) has selected partner Sharona H. Sternberg to participate in its 2023 Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI). The program provides mentoring and leadership development for women attorneys in Massachusetts who have been identified as the rising stars of the profession.

“I am honored that the WBA has invited me to join the 2023 WLI class,” Sharona said. “The program provides a wonderful opportunity for women in law and I am very much looking forward to embarking on this journey with my fellow peers.”

“The WBA is proud that Sharona is a member of this new class of the Women’s Leadership Initiative,” said WBA President Kristy Lavigne. “The program is directly aligned with the organization’s goal of advancing women in the profession. We are thrilled to have such a promising class, led by accomplished mentors committed to developing the next generation of women leaders.”

The WBA chose 21 lawyers for its 2023 class. Over the next year, more than 20 established practitioners will share their knowledge and strategies for career success and leadership within the legal community with the class. The WLI will provide leadership development and mentoring in group and one-on-one settings, run events aimed at business and professional development, and raise profiles by introducing class members to leaders in government, business, and the legal community.

In her practice, Sharona focuses on intellectual property litigation and trademark clearance, registration and enforcement. She has been involved in numerous patent, trademark, and trade secret litigations in federal court, including a successful jury trial involving medical device patents. She has also represented multiple clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Sharona co-chairs Sunstein’s Associate Forum and spearheads the firm’s Summer Associate Program.
